Brian Loftus

Brian Loftus is an associate at Davis & Young. He is involved in all aspects of litigation, including pre-trial work, law and motion practice, discovery, and trial.

Mr. Loftus obtained his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in Eugene, OR. He earned his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University. Before attending law school, Mr. Loftus had an extensive military and law enforcement career. Mr. Loftus worked as an officer in the San Jose Police Department as well as the Portland Police Bureau. He also served on active duty with the United States Air Force as a Security Forces Officer. Mr. Loftus continues to serve as a Major in the Air Force Reserves assigned to the Operations Branch of the Security Forces Directorate, Air Mobility Command.

During law school Mr. Loftus was an active member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution program and was certified as a mediator for Lane County Circuit Court. Additionally, Mr. Loftus was awarded a scholarship and recognized as a Tillman Military Scholar by the Pat Tillman Foundation. Prior to joining Davis & Young, Mr. Loftus was a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, where he managed a busy trial calendar in the Oakland and Fremont courthouses.

Outside the office, Mr. Loftus enjoys cooking, classic cars, and traveling.
